1- Where are the YTÜ campuses located? Which campus is our department on?
Yıldız Technical University has three campuses: Yıldız (Beşiktaş), Davutpaşa (Esenler), and Maslak.
Our department is located on the Davutpaşa Campus within the Faculty of Education.
2- What is the language of instruction?
The language of instruction for all programs in our department is Turkish.
3- Is there a summer school (summer session) in the academic program?
Until 2013, a summer school program was not offered because it was not deemed necessary, as our undergraduate classes began in 2011.
4- What is the capacity of YTÜ’s dormitories?
Our dormitories are arranged to accommodate 536 female and 536 male students at the Davutpaşa Campus, and 272 female and 272 male students at the Maslak Campus.
5- Is it possible to pursue a “double major” at YTÜ?
Any student with a Weighted Cumulative GPA above 3.00 and who meets the additional requirements may pursue a double major.
6- Are the campuses equipped with health services, infirmaries, and doctors?
The Medical and Social Services units on our campuses are staffed by specialist doctors, and laboratories equipped with the necessary basic technological equipment are available. The Davutpaşa Campus has 3 family physicians, 1 dentist, 1 ophthalmologist, 1 psychiatrist, 1 radiologist, 3 technicians, 4 general practitioners, and 1 support staff member. All tests, such as blood and urine tests and X-rays, are performed in the laboratories at the Yıldız Campus.
7- What are the sports facilities like?
The Davutpaşa Campus, where our department is located, features 1 indoor gym, 1 fitness center, 1 outdoor swimming pool, 1 grass soccer field, 1 artificial turf soccer field, and 3 tennis courts.
